African Fashion Week Toronto 2016

African Fashion Week Toronto was held from August 18th, to August 21st, 2016 at various locations. the Design Exchange, located in the banking district of Toronto, was the venue for the show held on Saturday, August 20th. I've never covered this fashion week, but with stellar reviews from other industry insiders, I anticipated a very good show,..expectations met.
The venue itself was very artistic, colorful, and expansive. From an organizational standpoint, fashion patrons checking in was a breeze, with a downstairs ticketing area, and then hosts and hostesses  escorted you up to the show on the second floor. I was very impressed with professionalism and set up. The showroom and runway also, very impressive, from the decor to the impeccable runway lighting (photographers always get excited over great runway lighting!) I covered the Saturday show, which showcased 15 top regional, and international fashion designers, Elegant, African themed garments ruled the night with each designer presenting their vision and artistic work with models that brought their creations to life. An impressive, well produced and awesome show. Many thanks to P.R.& Media Relations Coordinator, Erika Enyolu, for inviting me, and I hope to cover many shows in the future
